Looking for a new backpack to go with our new stage show and found this Star wars 'Wampa' backpack. Cute, cuddly and great for hiding unsuspecting items. A win win.

Brain tumours

Wednesday, 23 April 2014
A futuristic dream perhaps? Just like a google search for any or all information. A medical search where we use an app to scan your body and it detects illness, cancers etc diagnosis them and fixes them with a digital medication, all you have to do is press "okay". Just hold your iPhone out in front of you and wait for the little circle to do a loop and just like magic, your cancer cells are turned white again, broken limbs healed, flu instantly resolved, you get the idea. Now on with your digital day again. These are the sorts of dreams I've been having. Art by Axl Robertson.

Found myself in Melbourne today meeting with Maton guitars at their head office in box hill. Happy to announce I'm now officially endorsee by Maton on acoustic guitars. (Jumps in the air) The only guitar I've chosen to play across the bands career has been Maton. They are seriously amazing guitars. I'm definitely feeling at home here. Their factory and showroom is amazing to see. — Maton Guitar Factory.

In utero

On the 20th anniversary year of the sad and crazy death of Kurt Cobain we remember the magic of Kurt. Here is our own TRP cover and interpretation of a not to well known Nirvana song but a personal favourite. http://theredpaintings.bandcamp.com/track/chorus-vs-chorus

THE WORLD IS TURNING!.

Wednesday, 02 April 2014
It's been to long in the making but TODAY it looks like at least one revolution may have come. Here's hoping it's not to late.. "Japan has said that it will abide by the decision by the UN that whaling is now "officially" band."

"This is a historic ruling that will revitalize our ongoing efforts to save the whales. There are only three countries that still kill whales for commercial purposes – Japan, Iceland, and Norway. Today’s decision sets the legal bar that there is no place for commercial whaling in the 21st Century. Now is the time to end commercial whaling once and for all."

High five to everyone and anyone for their hard work in putting an end to such horrific slaughter to sensitive creatures that we should otherwise be cherishing and respecting whom we to SHARE the planet with. Read full news report HERE.

"Ill sell you suicide". Feeling overwhelmed with how many people across the globe have approached me explaining how all things TRP from the music and meaning behind the songs, to the stage show art performances, collaborations with the audience with stage painting and more has helped inspire them and keep them from suicidal thoughts. Some really intense lives some of you are living and surviving that no wonder you feel like turning the lights off, I feel your anguish. The human world we live in can be so beautiful but also epically selfish and screwed up. You'd be surprised how many young people take their own lives because they feel worthless or just feel they have no place in this world. We recently had two very close TRP young fans take their own lives and only months ago my own grandfather was found hanging from the roof inside his garage. Crazy times. I for one know that feeling all to well and in one way manifested TRP to channel all that crazy heavy energy and create something productive that in return we could all be apart of someway or another. It's been a hell of a fight to keep it alive, but it's you all that have inspired me to expand my creative mind and stay on track. Watching new souls paint on stage with us night after night is dear to my heart and I think sometimes even more then playing the music. I feel it's Important for TRP to build a ( I'm not sure of the most appropriate words) "suicide prevention" like community sanctuary, where we can go in times we need artistic interaction to work through our own heavy thoughts. Feeling like we can do so much more to help those that need or want help in a positive and creative way that has you expressing your inner art and building your own yellow brick road in this social chaos a million miles per hr moving world. What do you think? Thoughts? What can we do to help? Trash.M .... To be continued. Inside my mind painted by the epic Ana Bagayan.

Imperfections are what makes the world real and it's been our greatest strengths.

Smash your head against the wall

Saturday, 08 March 2014
To the journalist who wrote this. Thanks for the respect and a 20 sec hug. It's certainly been a crazy battle to keep TRP alive whilst building the Vision across the globe. It consumes my everything and more. It wouldn't exist if it didn't. You have no idea how hard it is and can be but yes we are slowly building our "red" brick road. Thanks to you! "This sums it up - The Red Paintings are one of the few bands whose musical growth can be seen quite evidently over the years and their opportunities are increasing in juxtaposition. If they keep moving on this trend, it will not be long before they are known to more than the dark subculture following. They are enjoying success overseas and it would be a testament to the culture of Australia if that recognition finally happened in their homeland." Photo sums up how it feels most times.
